All Aboard!!!

My son got very excited when he saw the picture of this cake! He, like most little boys, LOVES trains! This 3-D train cake is decorated with buttercream icing.

Springing into Flowers!

This is the perfect cake for a spring celebration! It features a soft yellow buttercream icing piped in a basket weave design. The handmade blue jays feature the technique of color flow. And the highlight, of course, is the cascade of a variety of spring flowers in beautiful colors.

Wicked Birthday

This cake was created for my sister's mother-in-law. As a birthday surprise, my sister bought her mother-in-law a ticket to go see the Broadway musical Wicked in NYC. She had me deliver this cake on her mother-in-law's birthday to tell her what her gift was. The colors used here reflect the colors of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

My favorite feature of this cake is the decoration on the sides. The cake was frosted & decorated with buttercream.

Comin' Up Daisies

This 3-tiered cake was created for a baby shower. It was frosted with pale green & yellow buttercream. The daisies were made with royal icing, sprinkled with a touch of sparkle flakes.

All the flowers were edible (excluding the stick in the stem of the upright daisies on top).

She's Gone Country!

This cake was for a country/cowboy style wedding. The red gingham ribbon matched the red gingham table cloths. The rope border around the cake plates adds to the rustic feel.

The cake was decorated with classic white buttercream and topped with beautiful fresh flowers.

Life's a Beach

This cake was designed for a more casual, beach-themed wedding. The bride wanted the cake to be completely white, so the buttercream icing is an ivory-white to match the white chocolate shells & topper. (The shells could be colored/tinted.) The cake itself is white with raspberry filling.

The bride wanted a small cake, but she also was planning for more guests than this 2-tiered cake could feed (particularly if saving the top tier for the 1st anniversary), so this cake also had 3 coordinating sheet cakes with it that were decorated with identical ivory buttercream and a few of the white chocolate shells. This is a budget-friendly way to increase the number of servings.

It's Hip to be Square!

This square, 3-tiered cake was designed for a wedding that was to be somewhat traditional with a few modern elements thrown in. It is a classic white cake with a raspberry filling. It is decorated with white buttercream frosting. The ribbon border on each tier can be custom matched/coordinated with the colors for your event.

The buttercream roses on the top & bottom tiers can be colored to order. This cake can also be made using fresh flowers.

Showering the Bride

This cake was created for the bridal shower of a friend. It is a two-layer cake frosted with classic white buttercream. It is decorated with apple blossoms made of royal icing in various shades of lavender (could be any color). This sweet & beautiful cake would be the centerpiece at any bridal shower.

Hail to the Classics!

This cake was created for an anniversary party for the parents of a friend of mine. It is a simple, two-tiered cake, perfect for a wedding or anniversary party. (It could be recreated larger to accommodate a greater number of guests.) It features classic white buttercream, accented with peach-colored buttercream roses. (It would also be beautiful with a variety of fresh flowers.)

Happy 50th Birthday!

This cake was for a friend's 50th Birthday party.  Her mom ordered it for her and wanted it decorated to reflect the trip to Hawaii she took with her daughter.  The shells were handmade of white chocolate and brushed with pearl dust to give them a luster.  The flowers were made of royal icing.  The cake itself was chocolate with peanut butter filling.
